A stupid headline

This headline,”Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders Draw Largest Iowa Crowd of Democratic Primary So Far with Call for ‘Solidarity’ Over Unity,” appearing in an article on Common Dreams, took me back a bit.

But then I read the article and found an appeal for solidarity by AOC at the rally, but no counterposition of solidarity to unity by her or Bernie. So I assume this headline is the work of someone else. In any case, it’s a stupid headline.

Equal in strength

The polling of the Democratic Party presidential candidates nationally and state by state suggests that the moderate and progressive wings are more or less equal in popularity and influence. It is also worth noting that many Democrats have yet to make up their mind as to where they stand.

Threats from The Don

I don’t know how the story of Ambassador Yovanovitch will register across the country, but I hope it does. It reveals in great detail and in a personal way that a rogue and exceedingly dangerous outfit is in the White House and traffics in threats, intimidation, and worse. The ambassador, obviously, even though she didn’t say it out right, feared for her life. How could she not? Don is The Don. Impeach!
